❓ What is NewsFluent?

NewsFluent is a monthly online newspaper for German learners living in Austria. Each issue is published at the start of every month and provides summaries of the previous month’s news events in Austria, written in simple German (A2–B1) with English translations alongside.

❓ Who is NewsFluent for?

NewsFluent is designed for people who are:

• Learning German (beginner to intermediate level)

• Living in Austria or interested in Austrian news

❓ How often is NewsFluent updated?

We publish once per month, usually in the first few days of the new month. Each issue includes top stories from the previous month across topics like politics, economy, culture, sports, environment, and more.

❓ Is NewsFluent a real news outlet?

No. NewsFluent is not a professional news service. It’s a personal language-learning project. For in-depth or breaking news, we recommend checking trusted Austrian or international news outlets.

❓ Where do the articles come from?

Our summaries are based on trusted Austrian news sources. The stories are rewritten in clear, learner-friendly German with English translations to support comprehension and vocabulary building.

❓ Can I trust the accuracy of the news?

We aim to be accurate, but NewsFluent is not a professional newsroom. We don’t have full-time editors or fact-checkers. Please view our articles as helpful language-learning tools rather than official news reports.

❓ Is NewsFluent free?

Yes, it’s free to read. If you find it useful and want to support the project, you can make a small donation.

❓ How do donations work?

Donations are processed securely through Stripe. NewsFluent does not store your email or card information.

Please note: Donations do not guarantee continued monthly publications. NewsFluent is a personal project and depends on available time and resources.

❓ Do I need to create an account?

No accounts or logins are required. Just visit the site and read freely.

❓ Do you collect my data?

We don’t collect personal information. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and what pages they view — that’s all. See our Privacy Policy for more.
