Österreich hat den Eurovision Song Contest 2025 gewonnen! Der Wettbewerb fand am 17. Mai in Basel, Schweiz, statt. Der Gewinner war der Sänger JJ mit dem Lied „Wasted Love“.
JJ ist 23 Jahre alt und kommt aus Wien. Er hat eine besondere Stimme und singt wie ein Opernsänger. Sein Lied ist eine Mischung aus Oper und Pop. Es geht um Liebeskummer und starke Gefühle. Auf der Bühne war JJ allein, nur mit Licht und Musik – sehr emotional.
Österreich bekam 436 Punkte – 258 vom Jury-Voting und 178 vom Publikum. Das ist der dritte Sieg für Österreich beim Eurovision Song Contest (nach 1966 und 2014).
JJ heißt mit echtem Namen Johannes Pietsch. Er hat Musik in Wien studiert und früher in der Wiener Staatsoper gesungen. Bekannt wurde er durch die Show Starmania.
Nach dem Sieg sagte JJ: „Danke an alle, die an mich geglaubt haben. Dieser Sieg ist für alle, die anders sind.“
